The God Who Sings Over You

God Is Near, and He Delights in You

by Kimani Upshur, M.Ed.

Zephaniah 3:17 says the LORD our God is with us — mighty to save, rejoicing over his people with joy and with singing. In this gentle story, a young boy learns on ordinary days and hard days alike that God is near, that God delights in him, and that heaven's King sings over his children. A warm book about God's nearness and God's delight, drawn from Zephaniah 3.

Written for children ages 6–12, this book has ten chapters, each with three illustrations (30 in all) and a "Do" activity and a "Pray" prayer to close. All Scripture is quoted from the King James Version (KJV). It ends with a Gospel Invitation that helps a child understand how to begin following Jesus, plus a note for grown-ups.
