The High Priestly Prayer Made Simple

by Kimani Upshur, M.Ed.

The night before the cross — Jesus prayed for you. This Scripture-first guide walks verse by verse through John 17, the longest recorded prayer of Jesus: His prayer for His own glorification through the cross, His prayer for His disciples' keeping and sanctification, and His prayer for all future believers — that they all may be one. Twelve chapters cover eternal life as knowing God, the finished work of Christ, the glory He had with the Father before the world was, His unceasing intercession as our great High Priest, and how to pray like Jesus prayed — plus twelve reflection questions for personal study or group discussion.
