The Centurion's Servant Made Simple

by Kimani Upshur, M.Ed.

A Roman centurion told Jesus, "Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof, but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed." Jesus marveled and said, "I have not found so great faith in Israel," and the servant was healed in that same hour (Matthew 8:5-13). This Scripture-first book walks the passage verse by verse — the plea, the humility, the confession of Christ's authority, the amazement of Jesus, the kingdom feast promised to the nations, the warning to the presumptuous, and the healing itself — with life application, reflection questions, and a closing prayer. Asked. Believed. Amazed.
