Jairus's Daughter Made Simple

by Kimani Upshur, M.Ed.

"Talitha cumi" — little girl, arise. This Bible-first guide follows the ruler of the synagogue who fell at the feet of Jesus for his dying daughter; though the mourners laughed Him to scorn, the Lord took her by the hand, spoke the word, and the twelve-year-old arose and walked (Mark 5:21-43; Luke 8:40-56). Twelve chapters cover desperate worship, the delay of the woman with the issue of blood, faith amid laughter, "Do not fear, only believe," the sleep of death, and the word of the resurrection — plus fourteen reflection questions for personal study or group discussion.
